About Us We are a small centre, licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Our licensed spaces include a preschool group of 8 and a Family Age group of 8 children. We have two full time staff and two part time staff and a cook.
Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds and have extensive experience in childcare, administration and curriculum design. Our Director trained under the Nursery Nursing Board of Great Britain and emigrated to Canada twenty five years ago. We have alumni (yes, daycare alumni) that we remain in close contact with today. All staff have a great interest in child development, with a particular emphasis on Sensory Integration, infant attachment theory and gender based learning differences. We also LOVE the outdoors, using many Waldorf inspired lessons for our outdoor play time, rain or shine! Our program is well respected in the community and we have a proven track record of designing programs to enable every child to achieve their full potential. |
We promote good manners at our centre. We aim to teach children to communicate their needs and understand the world around them. We also support parents in their parenting development and children in their growth. We have links with numerous agencies in the area including Lanark Early Integration program, Language Express and the public library.
